Nepal Army

discussed the peace process as well.
The meeting comes at a time when top Maoist leaders are predicting a
breakthrough in stalled peace talks and constitution writing.
NEPAL-JAPAN CONSULTATIONS
Kathmandu, 23 Feb.: Visiting Deputy Foreign Minister of Japan, Koro Bessho called on Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai at Singha Durbar in the Capital on
Thursday, RSS reports.
During the meeting, the duo discussed the issues of bilateral relations.
Press advisor to the prime minister, Ram Rijhan Yadav told media persons that Bessho, during the meeting, said that his country was ready to extend support to Nepal to conclude the peace process and draft the new constitution.
The Japanese Deputy Minister Bessho also proposed to provide training to 50 youths on risk management.
PM Bhattarai, on the occasion urged the Japanese people to visit the birthplace of Lord Buddha on the occasion of the Visit Lumbini Year-2012. He also extended invitation through Bessho to his Japanese counterpart to visit Nepal.
Earlier this morning, Bessho met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Narayan Kaji Shrestha.
During the meeting, the two held discussions regarding the peace process, economic development and Japan's assistance for Nepal's development, said sources at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Deputy Foreign Minister of Japan reiterated his commitment for his country's every possible cooperation to Nepal in its economic development with Bessho.
Japanese Ambassador to Nepal Kuniyo Takahasi was also present during the meetings.
