PROF CHANDRA BIKRAM BUDHATHOKI DEAD
Kathmandu, 22 Feb.: Prof. Chandra Bikram Budhathoki
died Tuesday of head injuries sustained three months ago after being hit ny a motorcycle driven by a student without a driving license at Kirtipur.
The retired professor of Nepali history at Tribhuvan University never recovered consciousness while he was undergoing treatment at a
neuro hospital in the capital.
The retired professor died four months after the death of his son Dipesh of a heart attack.
The family ran a successful organic compost plant in Kirtipur.
Family and friends attended his cremation at Pashupati Aryaghat
Tuesday.
Prof. Budhathoki is survived by a wife, daughter and daughter-in-law Jaya.

MAOIST WOMAN LAWMAKER CRITICALLY INJURED IN MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT

Kathmandu, 22 Feb.:Maoist lawmaker Sabitri Kumar Kafle
was critically injured in a motorcycle accident in Dharan
Wednesday.
She was hellion riding to a party meeting in the hill town in the eastern hill district.
and has been admitted for treatment at Neuro Hospital,
Biratnagar, where she was rushed.
A Land Rover hit the motorcycle.
Kafle represents Sunsari constituency No 3.
