PROGRESS CLAIMED IN BIG THREE TALKS UPDATE
Kathmandu, 8 Feb.: Three parties agree to amend government decision to legalize seizure
of assets during the 10-year insurgency at a meeting of the Big Three
in Gokarna.
The government agreed to present a common acceptable parties at a
cabinet meeting Thursday overturning the decision, opposition leaders Madhav Kumar Nepal and Ram Chandra Paudel said after the

The parties also agreed to convene a meeting of a special committee
headed by the premier on the integration and resettlement of Maoist
fighters to discuss controversies. that have surfaced in retirement of former fighters, among other issues.

HEAVY SNOW AND RAIN RECORDED NATION-WIDE
Kathmandu, 8 Feb. : Heavy snowfall accompanied by rainfall were recorded in the
country’s Himalayan and hill regions from 10 at night Tuesday and continued the whole day Wednesday.
Rainfall was recorded nation-wide , including the Valley, Wednesday
forcing people indoors.
The skies are expected to clear Thursday afternoon with warmer
weather.
Flights were disrupted by the bad weather spell outside the Valley.
