ANOTHER MADESHI MINISTER SACKED; AGRICULTURE MINISTER NANDAN KUMAR DUTTA GETS MARCHING ORDER
Kathmandu, 26 March 26:: Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai has on Monday sacked Minister for Agriculture and Cooperatives, Nandan Kumar Dutta from the post of Minister, RSS reports.
Prime Minister Dr Bhattarai communicated to President Dr Ram Baran Yadav about Minister Dutta being relieved of his post from the current Council of Ministers as per Article 38 (8) (c) of the Interim Constitution of Nepal, according to a statement released by the Office of the President here on Monday night.
This is the second time that Dr Bhattarai has sacked a minister from his cabinet. Earlier, Minister for Labour and Transport Management, Sarita Giri had been sacked from the cabinet on March 23.
Lately, Dr Bhattarai had sought clarification from the two Ministers and two other Ministers of State for their reported controversial activities. Prime Minister Dr Bhattarai had exchanged the portfolio of Minister of State for Tourism and Civil Aviation, Dilip Maharjan and Minister of State for Land Reforms, Jwala Kumari Shah. RSS
MAOIST CHIEF SAYS 3 TO 4 YEARS NEEDED TO COMPLETE CONSTITTION
Kathmandu, 26 March: Chairman of UCPN Maoist has claimed that it will take another three to four years for completely concluding the peace process, Reporters Nepal.com writes.
Elaborating on the existence of differences on the scope of peace process, Dahal claimed that army integration was just a component of the ongoing peace process. He claimed that though the army integration would be concluded within this year, it will take another three to four years for completely concluding the full peace process.
" Differences exist between general public, political parties and leaders on the scope of the peace process," said Prachanda while taking to a group of youth lawmakers in the capital today.
" Army integration is just a component of the whole process and though it would conclude within this week, it will take some more time to conclude the whole process," Dahal added.
On the occasion, Dahal hinted towards the possibility of creating federal states on the basis of ethnicity and claimed that the identity and capacity will be the basis for federating the nation.
