MAOIST LEADERSHIP AIRLIFTED TO CAPITAL AFTER STRIKE
Kathmandu, 5 March : UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai and Vice Chairman Mohan Baidya and half a dozen leaders have returned to the capital in a Nepal Army helicopter as they were stranded because of the strike enforced by the former combatants who were disqualified, RSS reports.
The former combatants had called the strike demanding that their disqualified tag be removed, a lump sum of economic package for them, helicopter as they were stranded because of the strike enforced by the former combatants who were disqualified.
The leaders were in Pyuthan district to address a mass meeting organised by the Maoist Pyuthan in Bijuwar, on Sunday. Both long and short route vehicles have not been operated from the district from early morning today.
The leaders stranded in Pyuthan also met with government officials in Khalanga, this morning.

Chhetri Samaj Forms Team to Hold Talks
Kathmandu, 5 March :The Khas Chhetri Ekta Samaj on Monday has formed a seven-member team to hold talks with the government, Greatwayonline.com reports.
The Samaj, organsing a press conference at the Reporter’s Club in the Capital on Monday, formed the team lead by the president Yuvaraj Karki. The other member includes Laxman Basnet, Yadav Kumar KC, Bhim Bahadur Thapa, Rana Bahadur Bhandari, Ram Bahadur thapa and Lila Bahadur.
Earlier, Energy Minister Posta Bahadur Bogati had called the Samaj for dialogue by calling off its struggle programmes.
The Samaj is struggling for long putting forth its nine-point demand which includes enlisting them in the list of indigenous nationalities, provision of quotas, separate Khasan state, announcement of the first Khasan Samrat as national figure, recognise Khas language as national language and separate Khas group in inclusive ordinance among others
