MAOIST ESTABLISHMENT ANNOUNCES CAUTIOUS
PLAN AND PROGRAMME UPDATE

Kathmandu, 28 March: A unilateral and unofficial meeting of the
establishment faction of UCPN (Maoist) Wednesday morning
decided to mobilize people by launching a two-month programme to push peace and constitution.
The faction of Chairman Prachanda and Prime Minister
Baburam Bhattarai, a party vice-chairman, decided Wednesday to
conduct public programmes to mark
people´s movement day on 6 April, party
anniversary 22April and on May Day
The party decided to launch an organization of disqualified combatants
and those who voluntarily retirement recently from 28 camps and cantonments to mobilize cadre amid threat of a split in the party.
Dissident Baidhaya faction demanding resignation of Premier Bhattarai is conducting separate programmes.
