FOUNDATION STONE OF REPUBLIC PILLAR BEING LAID BY PM

Kathmandu, 27 March: The foundation stone of a republic pillar is being laid by Prime Minister Baburam Bhatarai inside the former Narayanhiti Riyal palace now converted intoa national museum.
Government recently earmarked funds for the pillar’s erection.
Previous governments whether to erect the pillar at Ratna Part or along the Bagmati river bank.
