athmandu, 24 March: Defending champion Manang Marshyangdi Club (MMC) Saturday defeated Purbanchal XI 1-0 in the opening match of the
14th Budhasubba Tuborg Gold Cup Football Tournament in Dharan.
African recruit of MMC Adijola Jacob scored the solitary goal in the first half.
MMC will play the winner of the Nepal Police Club and the CFC Club of Bhutan in the semifinal to be played on Wednesday.
