NO AGREEMENT AT SECRETARIAT OF SPECIAL COMMISSION ON MODALITY FOR INTEGRATION OF MAOIST FIGHTERS

Kathmandu, 25 March: There was no agreement Sunday on an integration module for former Maoist fighters at the secretariat
of the special committee headed ex-officio by the prime minister.
The secretariat recommendation was expected to be presented Sunday for
discussion d adopting at a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai.
The government asked for the modality Thursday
Special committee has decided to conduct a second survey on whether 9,900 plus
fighters at 15 cantonments desire integration or voluntary retirement with only
6,5000 openings in Nepal Army for integration.

DEBATE ON FEDERAL STATE STRUCTUE BEGINS AT CA MONDA

Kathmandu, 25 March: Constituent assembly (CA) will begin debate for three

appointed state reorganization commission for a federal structure to replace a
unitary state.
