PM DIRECTS TOURISM MINISTER BISTA TO ACQUIRE TWO NARROW-BODIED AIRCRAFT FOR NAC

Kathmandu, 26 March: Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai Monday directed Tourism Minister Lokendra Bista at a meeting in Singha Darbar to start discussions with stakeholders to purchase two narrowed-bodied aircraft for Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) from China.
The aircraft will be purchased through a loan from Export Import Bank of China.

BHARATIYA JANATA DAL LEADER HOLDS DISCUSSIONS WITH PM

Kathmandu, 26 March: Leader Sanjaya Kant of India’s Bharatiya Janata Dal held discussions with Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai Monday on bilateral and Nepal’s current issues.
Discussions were held at a fluid time in Nepal when its not certain whether a peace process will be concluded and constitution promulgated by the 28 May deadline,
Main constitute drafting committee Chairman Nilambay Acharya Monday suggested an amendment in the constitution to promulgate a constitution by the deadline; he reiterated a basic law can’t be promulgated under present rules and regulations.
