POLITICAL PARTIES GET ONLY 10 NOT 15 MORE DAYS TO RESOLVE DIFFERENCES ON CONSTITUTION
Kathmandu, 14 March: Parliament’s business advisory committee (BAC) Wednesday gave political parties only more 10 days to resolve contentious issues on themes to be included in delayed constitution that has to be promulgated by 28 May.
Parties couldn’t meet resolve differences in a 10-day extension that expired Tuesday; the same day the Big Three decided to ask for another 15-day extension to resolve the task.
A sub-committee headed by Chairman Prachanda under a main
constitution drafting was entrusted the responsibility which was later also awarded by the top chiefs of the three parties—Prachanda, Sushil Koirala of NC and Madhav Kumar Nepal of UML.
