SECRETARIAT OF SPECIAL COMMITTEE COMPLETES MODALITY FOR INTEGRATION
Kathmandu, 29 March: Secretariat of special committee headed ex-officio
by the prime minister was completed Thursday a modality, procedure and related matters –two days after the allotted five days.
Recommendations have been made on the basis of a 7 point agreement between parties to which Maoists sought amendments amid stiff objections from the opposition.
Maoists had been seeking relaxation of army rules and regulations to facilitate integration of 9,900 Moist former fighters—also rejected by opposition parties.
The report will now be presented to the special committee for approval.

DISCUSSION ON FEDERAL STATE STRUCTURE
EXTENDED ONE MORE DAY IN ASSEMBLY
Kathmandu, 29 March: Discussions on a federal structure prepared by a
government-appointed state restructuring commission at constituent assembly (CA) has been extended by one more day until Friday, parliament secretariat said
Thursday.
All CA members couldn’t express their views in the allotted four days until
Thursday.
A report will be sent to the main constitution drafting committee after
debate concludes at the assembly.

BOMB TERROR IN KANCHANPUR
Kathmandu, 29 March: A bomb disposal team of the Nepal Army defused this morning an IED planted by an unknown group last night at Land Revenue Office
Kanchanpur, RSS reports from Kanchanpur.
Police had informed the Nepal Army after they saw the bomb in a tin can at the Veranda of the Office.
The army defused it by stopping traffic along East West Highway.
Earlier, police had found four bombs at the Barakunda of Bhimdutta municipality during patrol.
Police has not been able to identify groups which have been terrorizing life in the municipality area in recent days.
