“There are always two parties in the peace process and chances are high
that the two sides blame each other which can invite mediation of a third
party. Norwegians told us to play active role in Sri Lanka’s policy
political process, but we refused to do so because we believe that it is for
Sri Lankans to decide their domestic issues. We can only extend help.”

(Indian National Security Adviser Shivshanker Menon, The Himalayan Times, 4 March.)
