THREE PARTY MEET INCONCLUSIVE

Kathmandu, 3 March: A meeting of the Big Three discussing integration and other issues was again inconclusive Saturday after leaders stick to ther party positions.
Maoist leaders demanded appointment of a former PLA fighter with the rankof brigadier general in a directorate under Nepal Army for integration of 6,500
combatants into the state party.
Two main opposition parties NC and UML have offered Maoists the
highest rank of major in a new body being created for Maoists to conclude the delayed peace and constitution writing processes.
UML Chairman Jhalanath Khanal said after the meeting
articles in a 7-point agreement between parties should be basis for a breakthrough agreement.
NC leader Ram Chandra Paudel said parties to should abide by the
seven-point deal while seeking consensus on contentious issues

MAOIST FIGHTERS INTRCEPTED BY LOCALS WITH STOLEN TIMBER

Kathmandu, 3 March: Locals overpowered two Maoist PLA combatants from Third Division in Chitwan were arrested at Jutepane-1 Friday night while smuggling timber at fro a community forest Junepane-1 in the central district.
