No Amnesty to People Involved in Crimes: Pahadi
Kathmandu, 26 March 26: Minister for Peace and Reconstruction Satya Pahadi on Monday clarified that people involved in serious human rights crimes would not be given amnesty, Greatwayonline.com reports .
Minister Pahadi, during a meet with US Deputy Assistant Secretary for South and Central Asia, Dr. Alyssa Ayres at Peace Ministry, Minister Pahadi said that the criminal cases against those involved in serious crime will not be withdrawn.
Ayres expressed concern about the peace process and constitution drafting during the meet at Peace Ministry, informed minister Pahadi’s media assistance, Sangita Khadka.
In response, Minister Pahadi assured that the peace process and statute drafting would be completed by May 27 as the twin tasks were moving ahead in a satisfying manner

TOP UML LEADER SAYS PARTY IN NO MOOD TO TOPPLE GOVT.
Kathmandu, 26 March : CPN-UML Vice-chairman Ashok Kumar Rai on Monday said that his party is against the downfall of incumbent Baburam-led government, Greatwayonline.com reports.
Rai, speaking at a press conference organised by Press Chautari in Kailali, stressed the need to focus on the ongoing peace and constitution drafting processes.
PM Baburam Bhattarai should look for an alternative to this government as it has failed completely to meet peoples´ aspirations and expectation, he opined.
Rai also suggested Bhattarai to step down immediately and pave way for the national consensus government.

JAPANESE AMBASSADOR DISCUSES PEACE, CONSTITUTION WITH SPEAKER NEMWANG
Kathmandu, 26 March: Ambassador of Japan to Nepal, Kunio Takahashi paid a courtesy call on Chairman of the Constituent Assembly Subas Nembang, today [Mondy], RSS reports.
At the meeting held at Nembang's office in Singha Durbar, the duo held discussions on peace process, constitution writing, mutual relations between the two countries, cooperation and contemporary political issues of Nepal, according to the Parliament Secretariat.
