UML PARLIAMENTARY PARTY MEETS TO ADOPT FORMAL STANCE ON FEDERALISM

Kathmandu, 26 March: UML parliamentary party is meeting Monday to form
a formal party position on a federal structure
A four-day debate stared the same day at the constituent assembly (CA) where the majority and minority views of a a state reorganization commission were for discussion by Speaker Subash Nemwang Sunday.
The issue has become contentious.
In the absence of Chairman Jhalanath Khanal who is scheduled to undergo an
operation for kidney stone at a New Delhi hospital Monday, senior leader and former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal will make a keynote statement.

CAPITAL TEMPERATURE MONDAY

Kathmandu, 26 March: Minimum temperature recorded Monday in the capital was 14 degrees Celsius with cloudy conditions predicted in the afternoon.
Mercury is expected to rise to 27degrees Celsius in the afternoon.
