ADD TO PM ADDRESS; ASKS TO CONCENTRATE ON CONSITUTION DRAFTING

Kathmandu, 12 April Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai asked parties to concentrate of constitution drafting.
“If political parties hinder the constitution drafting now, Nepali citizens will never forgive them,” he said and added he’ll be active in constitution drafting.
He highlighted the form of he coming constitution which will be a
a complete constitution featuring republicanism, federalism, securlarism and inclusiveness, and based on participatory democratic values”.
He turned to his coalition parties from Madesh and assured them a four-point agreement between coalition partners will be implemented.
The premier announced additional relief of Rs 200,000 for the families of the martyrs and disappeared and life-long allowances to those injured during the insurgency.

$5M UN ASSIST

Kathmandu, 12 April; United Nations Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF) has allocated US $ 5 million for Nepal to benefit 200,000 persons.
The fund will support three major activities managed by the UNICEF, World Health Organization, UN Human Settlements Program, World Food Program and the FAO.
