BOMBS PLANTED IN VALLEY BY A LITTLE KNOWN GROUP

BOMBS PLANTED IN VARIOUS PARTS OF VALLEY AMONG HEIGHTENED POLITICAL TENSION

Kathmandu, 4 April: Bombs were planted in bus parks in Gokarna and Lalitpur Wednesday as pamphlets of Nepal Communist Party People’s War Group were recovered with suspicious ibjects.
Nepal Army bomb disposal unit defused a bomb at a bus park in Gokarna were
pamphlets were found.
Bombs were planted at Lagankhel Bus Park and in a microbus en route to
Dhading from the capital.
Police are on alert after the discoveries.
Bombs were planted amid heightened tension and political uncertainly as major
parties haggle over a peace and constitution—both incomplete processes.

INDIAN ARMY CHIEF TOHOLD DISCUSSIONS WITH PM BHATTARAI THURSDAY

Kathmandu, 4 April: Indian Army Chief Gen. Vijaya Kumar Singh will hold discussion on bilateral and other issues with Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai Thursday before returning home.
He’ll also call on President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav.
Gen. Singh arrived Wednesday to attend a closing session of a South Asian conference of antiterrorism and management of natural disasters that began Wednesday.
The meeting is sponsored by Nepal Army.
Gen. Singh held discussions with his Nepali counterpart Gen. Chatraman Singh
Gurung Wednesday.
