CONSTITUTIONAL DRAFTING COMMITTEE RECEIVES STATE RESTRUCTURING COMMISSION REPORT

Kathmandu, 2 April: Detailed discussions on a federal state structure will begin at the constitution drafting main committee at its next meeting, UML Chairman Jhalanath Khanal said Monday.
The committee received a report of a government-appointed state restructuring commission after a five-day discussion at constituent assembly.
The commission couldn’t force a consensus on a federal structure and forwarded majority and minority views that cropped up t the committee.
