NSU Leaders Picket Party Office
Kathmandu, 3 April: Leaders of Nepal Students Union (NSU), a sister-wing of Nepali Congress, picketed party office in Sanepa for two-hours on Tuesday.
NSU leaders have been agitating calling the work committee, formed by the party, as jumbo and against the union statute.
NC had formed 101-member — 28 from Deuba and remaining 73 from establishment faction — committee and a three-member election committee for holding the general convention of its student wing Nepal. Those 28 members of the committee have already tendered their resignation citing it was formed unilaterally and was in breach of the union’s statute.
The preparatory committee was formed from the majority decision by a three member team led by NC General Secretary Prakash Man Singh including Central Committee members Bal Bahadur KC and Surendra Pandey, formed to take a call on the NSU controversy, Greatway Online reports.
