By Bhola R Rana

Kathmandu, 12 April: Prachanda has come out firmly behind Prime Minister Bhattarai whose resignation has been demanded by Mohan Baidhaya and hoped a basis will again be formed for party unity with a proposed national government..
“Kiranji haru [group] demanded Baburamji should be made prime minister at
Dhobighat. He knows Baburamji for a long time. You can’t say he was like
this before becoming prime minister..”
In effect, the party chairman has defended policies, programmes, both foreign and domestic, of the Bhattarai government.
Baidhaya has charged Bhattarai government for adopting pro-India policies abandoning national priorities.
Prachanda called for compromises by abandoning previous stances.
“We have abandoned many things we said. There should be sacrifices. They should also leave many things and come to an agreement.”
The Maoist chief described the coming constitution as a ‘federal, loktantrik
republican’ document with ‘a Maoist stamp”.
Prachanda still hoped Baiddhaya group will join a national government for party unity.
“I am hopeful when talking of a national government, a basis will again be created with Kiranji for party unity .With that hope, I’m moving forward.”
The chief of UCPN (Maoist) gave details of such a government.
“Maoists should lead such a national government even for some time. There’s possibility of Congress coming on rotation. There’s possibility of two governments before27 May, first a national government of Baburanji and o rotation with Congress and others.”
