PRACHANDA, INDIAN AMBASSADOR HOLD DISCUSSIONS WEDNESDAY
Kathmandu, 12 April : Maoist Chairman Prachanda and Indian Ambassador
Jayant Pasad held discussions Wednesday at a crucial time Wednesday when the Maoist chief decded to handover cantonments with Maoist fighters and weapons to Nepal Army (NA).
They held discussions at the Prachanda Niwas in Lazimpat located adjacent to the huge Indian embassy complex
Details weren’t divulged
The timing of the meeting amid uncertainly is significant.
India has been taking keen interest and playing a key role in Nepali politics in the lasst four years despite claims to the contrary.

RECORD RAINFALL IN APRIL; TEMPERATURE SLUMPS
Kathmandu, 12 April: The highest rainfall in 21 years was recorded in the capital in April, Annapurna Post reports.
Normal rainfall in April is 56.9mm.
But in the last10 days, 75mm rainfall has been recorded.
Altogether 74.22mm rainfall was recorded earlier in 1991.
Maximum temperature has slumped to 22 degrees Celsius from 32 degrees Celsius at a time when temperature should have increased; but temperature is falling.
