NEWSPAPER PUBLISHER SENTENCED TO TWO-MONTH JAIL TERM FOR CONTEMPT OF COURT

Kathmandu, 13 April: Publisher of Rajdhani vernacular daily newspaper Rajdhani Mahendra Serchan was sentenced Thursday to a two-month jail term along with a Rs.
,5,000 fine for contempt of court by a labour curt
The publisher didn’t execute a court verdict ordering reinstatement of
Ram Prasad Dahal who was instead transferred to Nepalgunj.
Dahal who was sacked during the royal regime went to court claiming his transfer to Nepalgunj was a challenge of the court verdict.
The verdict won’t be executed if the order is implemented in one month.
