SIT-IN AT PM RESIDENCE TO DEMAND APPOINTMENTS TO FILL VACANCIES
Kathmandu, 17 April: Demanding appointments to vacant posts, doctors, professors, students and employees of the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) and the Institute of Medicine (IoM) staged an hour-long sit-in in front of the Prime Minister's official residence at Baluwatar Tuesday.
They demanded immediate appointment to vacate positions.

BHARAT RAJ KOIRALA ARRESTED

Kathmandu, 17 April: Bharat Raj Koirala charged for defrauding a bank was arrested Sunday
A case against him is pending at the special court for defrauding Nepal Bank Ltd Rs. 24.3 million.
CIAA charged Koirala who was o the run for more that four years.

MACHHAPUCHHRE BANK LTD CALLS SPECIAL GENERAL MEET TO APPROVE MERGER

Kathmandu, 17 April: Machhapuchhre Bank Ltd. Has convened a special general
meeting 30 April to discuss and approve a merger with Standard Finance :Ltd.
The merger is the biggest so far pushed by Nepal Rashtra Bank in principle.
