NO FORCE CAN STOP REVOLUTION SAYS PM

Kathmandu, 7 April: Prime Minister Dr. Babauram Bhattarai Friday said that no force could stop revolutions if they were for the sake of the people and nation, The Rising Nepalreports.
He said this addressing the mass assembly organised to mark People’s Movement Day here at Basantapur.
In an apparent indication to the dissenting faction of the party, which is harping on people’s revolt, Prime Minister Dr Bhattarai said that domestic and international situation did not allow carrying out violent revolt in the country.
He also called for an objective analysis of concrete situation.
Saying that changes cannot be made without launching revolutions, the Prime Minister vowed that revolution would continue end until the goal was achieved.
"The revolution is underway here but the form of revolution has been changed," Prime Minister Dr. Bhattarai said.
Stating that his party has followed peaceful means to institutionalize the achievements gained so far by the decade long people’s war, the Prime Minister said that the UCPN-Maoist was moving ahead with peaceful revolution to conclude the tasks of peace and constitution as they were the current agenda of people.
Referring to the dissenting faction, Prime Minister Bhattarai said that waging an armed struggle and posing status quo position against the peace and constitution were vital mistakes.
He clarified that the new constitution would be a document of compromise among political forces and that it would pave the way for further struggle to get more rights.
Defending the political line of the establishment faction of his party, Prime Minister Dr Bhattarai, who is also vice-chairman of the party, said people’s revolt was something to be caused by the necessity and not by whims of some leaders.
In the function, Minister for Finance Barsha Man Pun said that conspiracies were being hatched to put the outdated party agenda into the practice.
Minister Pun said that his party would never go away from people’s aspirations and mandates given to the party.
"The UCPN-Maoist party will do anything necessary to achieve the set goal," he assured.
Founding member of the Communist Party of Nepal Nar Bahadur Karmacharya, Maoist politbur member Hisila Yami, central committee members Jhakku Subedi and Salikram Jammakattel were also present in the meeting.

Meanwhile, the Maoist dissenting faction led by senior vice-chairman Mohan Baidhya Kiran organised a separate programme at Ratnapark to mark the People’s Movement Day in the capital city.
Addressing the separate function, Kiran labeled the current government as a puppet. He blamed the establishment for heading to deceive the people.
Kiran said that the present government left the CPN-UML and Nepali Congress, two large parties, behind and added that the incumbent government was a puppet like the government led by Madhav Kumar Nepal earlier.
Kiran reiterated to launch a revolution if any conspiracy was hatched against a pro-people constitution.
Referring to the marking of the People’s Revolution Day, Kiran said that it was also a revolution launched against the opportunists, capitalist and elites.
