THAI AMBASSADOR PRESENTS LETTERS OF CREDENCE TO RESIDENT
Kathmandu, 30 April: Residential Ambassador of Thailand Kanthong Unakul presented his letters of credence to President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav Monday.
Cuba’s non-residential Abelardo Rafael Cueto Sosa, and Ambassador Ibrahim Asad Oglu Hajiyev of Azerbaizan also presented their letters of credence to the president.
Chief of Army Staff Chhatraman Singh Gurung, Secretary at the President's Office Baman Prasad Neupane, Foreign Secretary Durga Prasad Bhattarai and other senior officials from the Office of the President and the Minsitry of Foreign Affairs were present on the occasion.

ESTABLISHMENT FACTION OF NC APPOINTS REMAINING MEMBERS OF AD HOC BODIS OF FOUR CLASS ORGANIZATIONS
Kathmandu, 30 April:: The Nepali Congress (NC) today [Monday] gave full shape to four of its class organisations which were constituted on an ad-hoc basis before, RSS reports.
The four class organisations given full shape today include the Nepal Democratic Fighters Association, Nepal Indigenous Nationalities Association, Nepal Farmers Association and Nepal Magar Association, according to a press release.
The associations are required to hold their general conventions within six months.
(Note: Sher Bahadur Deuba faction says establishment intervention is undemocratic and has been opposing the move.)

DEMONSTRATION IN PARSA FOR FEDERALISM
Kathmandu, 30 April: Madhesi Janadhikar Forum-Nepal on Monday staged a demonstration, calling for guarantee of federalism along with ethnic-identity in the new constitution in Parsa, RSS reports from Parsa.
According to the party, the demonstration was organised in order to pile pressure on the bodies concerned to address the demand for 'one Madhesh one Province' raised by the Madhes community.
The protest rally was originated from the Ghantaghar Chowk based in Birgunj passed through various parts of the city and later converged into a corner assembly after reaching back to the same location.
MJF-Nepal Parsa district President Pradeep Yadav led the rally.
Addressing the gathering, various leaders of the Forum said that the constitution failing to incorporate the Madhes issues would not be acceptable for them.
