BAIDHAYA FACTION ALSO PROTESTS AGREEMENT Kathmandu, 15 May: Mohan Baidhaya faction in the UCPN (Maoist) Tuesday evening condemned a breakthrough agreement along with some Madeshis ,including Muslims. The faction said in a statement signed by First Vice-Chairman Baidhaya and General Secretary Ram Bahadur Thapa charged international forces for manipulating the constitution drafting process compelling protests nnnn CA MEMBER JAILED FOR KIDNAP AND RANSOM TO VOTE IN CA Kathmandu, A bench of the supreme court Tuesday ruled Shyam Sundar Gupta should be allowed to cast his vote in the constituent assembly (CA) of which hw continues as member. Gupta, NSP chairman who has been jailed for kidnap and ransom, asked court intervention he be allowed to vote. The court decision comes at a time when the CA has to promulgate a basis law by 27 May. The court noted Gupta continues to be a CA member and Chairman Subash Nembang has not issued any formal statement saying otherwise. The court noted arrangement should be made in prison for Gupta to vote. nnnn
