BEFORE BREAKTHROUGH MINISTER RESIGNATIONS, MAOIST STANDING COMMITTEE
DECIDED TO FORM NATIONAL CONSENSUS GOVT.
Kathmandu, 3 May: A Standing Committee meeting of the UCPN-Maoist on Thursday concluded that it was ready for the formation of the national consensus government, RSS reports.
The meeting that held at the Constituent Assembly (CA) building, New Baneshwor, concluded that consensus on the remaining contentious issues in the constitution-making could not be
forged due to apathy on the part of the Nepali Congress and the CPN UML.
Talking to media persons following the meeting, Maoist politburo member Giriraj Mani Khanal accused the Congress and the UML of not becoming serious towards the agenda of national interests.
The UCPN-Maoist wants to settle all the disputed issues in a package, he added.
