BODY OF MISSING FOREIGNER RECOVERED ALONG SETI RIVER
Kathmandu, 10 May: Body of a foreigner killed in Saturday’s flash flood in
Seti river in Kaski in the western region was recovered by a search team along
the river bank Wednesday.
Three tourists from Ukraine went missing.
More than 40 others are still missing.
Seven recovered and unidentified bodies have been kept at Western Regional Hospital in Pokhara.

MINIMUM TEMPERATURE 16 DEGREES CELSIUS AS

Kathmandu, 10 May: The minimum temperature recorded in the capital
Thursday was 16 degrees Celsius on a cloudy morning.
Mercury is expected to rise of 31 degrees Celsius in the afternoon.

INDIA ATTEMPTS TO GET A FOOTHOLD IN HILL DISTRICTS ALONG
TIBET
Kathmandu, 10 May: In an obvious Indian attempt to get a foothold north of the Himalaya range along the sensitive Nepal-Tibet border, India Wednesday gave Rs.33.3 million for the renovation and conservation of Tripurasundari Bhagawati temple through the Dolpa district development committee.
Dolpa is an extension of the Tibetan plateau in Nepal.
India, though its embassy, earlier poured money into maintaining and upgrading a hoydro power project tn Khumbi in the Everest region.
Maoists last disrupted visits by then Ambassador Rakesh Sood of districts bordering Tibet charging New Delhi for anti-China activities.
ADBL PROFITS UP
Kathmandu, 10 May: Third quarter profits ending mid-March of Agriculture Development Bank Ltd (ADBL) increased compared to the same period the previous year.
The bank earned a net profit of Rs.1,145.91 million compared to Rs. 1012.09 million the previous year.
The profit is the highest recorded by any commercial or development bank.

NEPAL MAINTAINS FIFA RANKING
Kathmandu, 10 May: Nepal maintained its 149th ranking for May published Wednesday by FIFA, world’s soccer governing body.
Nepal is top soccer nation in South Asia as well followed by Bangladesh which has been ranked 152nd by FIFA followed by India, Maldives, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bhutan in that order.
