BREAKING NEWS AGREEMENT ON MIZED GOVERNANACE SYSTEM, PROVINCES
Kathmandu, 15 May: Without involvement of assembly members and junior party
leaders of the Big Three and Madesh Morcha in government agrees on a mixed system of government with an elected president sharing powers with a prime minister elected by parliament.
Leaders agreed to form of governance in a new constitution at a meeting Tuesday at the official residence of Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai.
Power could will be problematic and has come at a time when monarchy was toppled amid charges by present ruling King Gyayendra imposed direct royal rule four years ago.
Maoists, NC and MUL agreed to 11 unnamed provinces opposed by Madesh Morcha whose leader Bijaya Kumar Gachedhar, deputy prime minister and chairman of MJFL said the terai parties won’t obstruct constitution drafting including the broad
agreement Tuesday evening.
Parties agreed to a bicameral legislature in the center.

SHARE PRICES RECOVER
Kathmandu, 15 May: Share prices gained on the 18.71 points on the third day of
trading Tuesday and closed 391.89 points.
Shares gained 5.01 points amid hopes of a breakthrough in stalled political talks.
The market recovered after continuous drop in prices amid fluid and uncertain political situation.
Altogether 35,092 shares were traded for Rs.47 million.
