CA MEET AGAIN POSTPONED UNTIL FRIDAY
Kathmandu, 17 May: The Constituent Assembly (CA) meeting scheduled for Thursday has been put off till 5:00 pm on Friday, RSS reports.
CA Chairman Subash Nembang informed the Legislature-parliament meeting on Thursday that the CA meeting scheduled for 5:00 pm was rescheduled for 5:00 next day.
Earlier, the CA meeting was postponed for thirteenth times.

MINISTER ASSURES CONSTITUTION BY 27 MAY
Kathmandu, 17 May: Minister without portfolio Surya Man Gurung has claimed that the recent political consensus has ensured constitution within May 27, RSS reports.
At an interaction organised at the Reporter's Club in the capital on Thursday, Minister Gurung said although the strikes called by various groups and communities in the recent times were natural, these must not take anarchic mode.
Another Minister without portfolio Radha Gyawali said she was hopeful that the constitution would come by May 27.
Similarly, Minister without portfolio from the UCPN-Maoist, Top Bahadur Rayamajhi said the recent political consensus was important for constitution on time.
Nepali Congress leader Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat said it was sheer irresponsibility of the United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) to disagree the political agreement on disputed issues of constitution writing although it is in the government.

WORKERS, POLICE CLASH IN SAPTARI
Kathmandu, 17 May:: A clash has taken place between employees of the District Development Committee (DDC), Saptari and police personnel on Thursday, RSS reports.
Employees of the DDC have launched an agitation for the past two weeks putting forth nine-point demands including making arrangement to undertake all development and construction works under the DDC through thematic sections. Situation of the DDC is tense after the clash.
The clash took place when a group of Local Body Employees' Association, DDC Saptari, tried to padlock the DDC by forcing out employees of another group from the office.
A team led by Police Inspector Kush Bahadur Thapa had taken out the agitating employees from the premises of the Office as the employees tried to padlock the office.
According to Chairman of the Association, Kamaleshwor Biraji, they were compelled to halt the office works after Local Development Officer Krishna Prasad Sapkota did not take any initiative to resolve the problems despite peaceful protest.

JHAPA HIT HARD BY BANDHS
Kathmandu, 17 May: Normal life in Jhapa district has been hit hard due to double bandhs in Terai region, RSS reportsfrom Bhadrapur.
Life has been troublesome as transport vehicles did not ply in Jhapa due to the indefinite general strike called from today by the Struggle Committee for National integrity and Social good will.
The Tharuhat Struggle Committee and the Brihat Madhesi Morcha have also called their respective bandhs.
As the date to promulgate constitution draws closer, life of the people who rely on daily wage earning including the masses, have been vulnerable from the bandh programmes of each and every group.
