CA MEET POSTPONED
Kathmandu, 10 May: The meeting of Constituent Assembly (CA) scheduled for Thursday was postponed by issuing a notice, RSS reports.
The meeting was put off due to special reason, said the Legislature-Parliament Secretariat.
It is learnt that the next meeting of the CA is to take place at 3:00 pm on May 11, Friday.
The CA meeting continues to be affected with the political parties failing to forge a consensus on the disputed issues in the constitution making process.
It is the eighth time that the CA meeting has been adjourned since April 23.
The CA meeting of today was expected to begin a voting process regarding the contentious issues in the constitution- drafting.

LIGHTNING CONTINUES TO CREATE HAVOC
Kathmandu, 10 May: In a strange coincidence of fate, Pemba Sherpa of Tinla VDC-2 in Solukhumbu district died the same day his wife gave birth to a son on Wednesday, RSS reports from Solokhumbu.
Sherpa who had gone upstairs in his matan, a miniature house, to take a mat after his wife had labour pains, died of lightning. Deputy Superintendent of Police Ramesh Kumar Khadka said that Mrs Sherpa gave birth to a baby son right at that time.
Relatives said that Sherpa who was missing for some time, while others were busy taking care of the new-born and lactating mother, was found dead in front of the house after the lightning struck him.
Similarly, Tilamaya Nepali of Salyan VDC-3 of the district also died due to lightning. Nepali, 40, died while five others were injured, police said.
