DETAILS OF MAOIST CHIEF, PRASAD MEET
Kathmandu, 18 May: UCPN (Maoist) Chairman and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has asked Indian Ambassador to Nepal Jayant Prasad to make clear regarding the statement made by S. D. Mehta, an official at Indian Consulate based in Birgunj, RSS reports..
Inviting Indian Ambassador Prasad to his own residence in Lazimpat today, Maoist Chairman Dahal asked him to make it clear that why Mehta expressed his concerns regarding Nepal´s internal affairs, Dahal´s aide Shiva Khakurel said.
It has been reported that Indian official Mehta has made controversial remarks by inviting the leaders of local political parties in Birgunj on Thursday. It is reported that in a banquet, the Indian official had provoked the local Madhesi leaders to push for ´One Madhes, One Province´.
During the meeting, Dahal said his party´s serious attention has been drawn on the incident. In response, Ambassador Prasad said that he would inform Dahal after inquiring about Mahta´s statement.

MAOIST CHIEF, PM ASSURANCES TO PARTY MADESH LAWMAKERS
Kathmandu, May 18: UCPN-Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Vice Chairman and Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai jointly discussed with central members and district in-charges of the party on federalism, RSS reports.
Chairman Dahal at the discussion held at Dahal´s residence in Lazimpat, stressed on the need to operate party activities as state will be restructured on the basis of identity and capability.
Dahal and Bhattarai urged not to be perturbed from the party decision and to honour it, and directed the Terai Madhes leaders and workers, said Dahal´s Press Coordinator Santosh Paudel.
At the discussion, Maoist Madhesh Bureau In-Charge Giriraj Mani Pokhrel had informed about the condition of the overall Madhes.
Present in the discussion were party leaders and workers under the Mithila, Bhojpura and Abadh State Committees of the party under Terai Madhes.
