GOVT. TO RESIGN THRSDAY FOR CONSENSUS ADMINISTRATION

Khanal said this after a late night meeting between leaders of the Big Three and Madeshbadi Morcha
A meeting of the top leaders of major political forces -– Unified CPN Maoist, Nepali Congress, CPN UML and United Democratic Madhesi Forum.
The UML Chief earlier told BBC Nepali Service the seven-month Baburam Bhattarai
will be dissolved Thursday to make way for a national consensus government.
He added. Baburam Bhattarai will continue as the prime minister and added
his government will be replaced by a new one that will be formed under the leadership of Nepali Congress before May 27--the deadline to promulgate a constitution.
Khanal said major parties will meet again Thursday
to discuss a new government.
NC General Secretary and troubleshooter Krishna Prasad Shitaula confirmed Thursday’s meet to discuss a national consensus government.
The late development came amid lobbying by parties the whole day for a new government, even by Maoists who insist they should lead the new unity government.
