GOVT.FORMS TALKS TEAM UPDATE
Kathmandu, 7 May: Government formed a three-member dialogue team headed
by Deputy Prime Minister Krishna Prasad Shitaula Monday to talks with protestors in far-West opposing Maoist plans to divide nine districts in the region into provinces.
Ministers Barsha Man Pun and Mahendra Raya Yadav are also members of the government talks team.
Protestors said the government was welcome but would continue protests and negotiations simultaneously.
Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai earlier Monday invited protestors for talks.
“People have been inconvenienced,” Bhattarai said.
Protestors said negotiations should be held in the far-West.

Kathmandu, 7 May: MJFN of Upendra Yadav staged sit-ins in front of the district administration office nation –wide Monday demanding One Madhes, One Pradesh.
The party demanded a federal constitution.

FOREST FIRE CAUSES HEAVY DAMAGE IN KAILALI
Kathmandu, 7 May A heavy fire has broken out in Janakalyan Community Forest at Baliya VDC in Kailali district, RSS reportsfrom Kailali.
Locals said that a large number of natural heritages, valuable medicinal herbs and trees have been destroyed in the fire. Locals said that no step has been taken to douse the fire.
Of the 2000 hectares of forest land, half of the forest has been destroyed by the
fire.
