GOVT. PROPOSES EXTENDING CA TENURE (BREAKING NEWS) Kathmandu, 22 May Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai Tuesday proposed extending the tenure of the constituent assembly (CA) after it ends 27 May. A proposal is being presented at a meeting of the cabinet later Tuesday night. The premier made the proposal at a meeting of ruling parties Maoists, NC, UML and front of Madeshbadi morcha o front , NC leader Bimalendra Nidhi said. Attorney General Mukti Pradhan was present at the meeting where the premier presented the proposal. Party leaders came out of the meeting and made no immediate comments. The decision came as the supreme court ruled the assembly session can’t be extended after the present tenure ends. MORE
