JANAKPUR STRIKE RESUMES AFTER ONE DAY Kathmandu, 6 May: Normal life in Janakpur has been paralyzed on Sunday also due to a shut down called by the Mithila State Struggle Committee, demanding Mithila Autonomous State in the new constitution, RSS reports from Janakpur. The committee called for the Janakpur shut down for indefinite period after five people died on April 30 in a bomb explosion while staging sit-in demanding the Mithila State. Ranju Jha, Suresh Upadhayay, Jhagadu Mandal, Bimal Sharan das and Dipendra Das died in the incident. It is said that condition of seriously injured Wajir Shekh, who is undergoing treatment at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, is also critical. Nnnn NEPAL BEATS BAHRAIN IN ACC U-16 ELITE CUP Kathmandu, 6 May: Nepal defeated Bahrain in the ACC U-16 Elite Cup cricket Tournament by eight wickets in Kuala Lumpur Sunday in its second outing. Nepal beat Kuwait in the first match in a group match. Nepal scored a target of 142 runs in 21.2 overs. Dipendra Chand hit 75 rins and was top scorder while Nurdhoj Sen hit 41 rins. Bahrain scored in 39.5 overs. Akash Bista took three wickets for14 runs. nnnn
