NC TRIO HOLD LATE NIGHT CONSULTATIONS WITH PRESIDENT Kathmandu, 27 May: NC, which went into the opposition bench after 18 days I office last week, last night held consultations with President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav after Lreakdown of talks between the big Three and Madeshbadi parties on statereorganization. Party President Sushil Koirala was accompanied Vice-chairman Ram Cahndra Paudel and another leader of the opposition party. The meeting was the second in two days, NC leaders briefed the presidemt on the party position. The president has been concerned at the breakdown of talks between parties to promulgate a constitution. ‘NC and UML are going towards the dissolution of the CA. A crisis has cropped up in the country. The country is moving towards a stage without agreement,” said a sobbing Maoist Vice-chairman Narayan Kazi Shrestha Saturday after the talks collapse. Along with the talks breakdown, Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai is facing a challenge from NC, UML and a faction in his party led by Mohan Baidhaya collecting signatures for a no-confidence motion in parliament. nnnn
