NeFIN CONVENIENTLY SHIFTS BLAME FOR VIOLENCE ON POLICE Kathmandu, 20 May:: Chairman of the Nepal Federation of Indigenous Nationalities (NeFIN) Raj Kumar Lekhi claimed that conspiracies were hatched to defame the protest of NeFIN by enticing for attacks on media sector, adding that the present shutdown was purely organised to ensure federalism with identity and people's rights, RSS reports. Lekhi has claimed that he has due reverence to media sector, adding that he respects media sector's right to reporting without any hindrances. Issuing a press statement today, Lekhi has also urged the agitators and media persons to observe restraint. He has claimed that incidents of vandalism were occurring in the presence of police personnel and that they were themselves provoking for such unruly activities. nnnn
