NEPSE GAINS 20.3 POINTS Kathmandu, 16 May: Nepse gained 20,3 points and closed at 412.19 points on the fourth day of trading Wednesday with indications a constitution will be promulgated by 27 May. Shares gained 5.18 percent. Total turnover was Rs.21.9 million with 81,904 shares traded. nnnn MOHAN BAIDHYA ASKS NC PRESIDENT TO ENCOMPASS ALL Kathmandu, 16 May: President of the Nepali Congress, Sushil Koirala has said that his party was ready to lead works of the constitution writing by incorporating all, RSS reports. During a meeting with the UCPN-Maoist senior Vice-Chairman Mohan Baidhya at Koirala residence in Maharajgunj today [Wednesday], Koirala said that there was a need of help of all sides for the constitution writing. Baidhya expressed dissatisfaction over the agreement made by political parties on the form of governance and state restructuring, and requested Koirala to move ahead by incorporating all by holding discussions with all. On the occasion, Koirala said that his party was clear on including all without any compromise on democratic norms and values and added that he was ready to play a role in this regard. Talking to media persons after the meeting with Koirala, Baidhya said that he expressed his view that NC should play a crucial role to move ahead by including all. Baidhya said that they informed Koirala that they did not agree on the agreement made among leaders of three big parties and United Democratic Madhesi Front with the involvement of Chairman of the UCPN-Maoist Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Tuesday without informing them. Meanwhile, representatives of Darai Community this morning submitted a memorandum to Koirala demanding an autonomous state with identity for their community. On the occasion, Koirala said that there will be a guarantee of rights of all ethnic groups in the new constitution. Nnnn TWO KILLED IN JHAPA VEHICULAR ACCIDENT Kathmandu, 16 May: Two persons died and four others were seriously injured in a road accident at Shanischare-6 in Jhapa district last night, RSS reports from Bhadrapur.. The deceased have been identified as Surendra Bohara (29) and Bhagimaya Bhandari of Sangrumba in Panchthar district, according to the Area Police Office, Birtamod. The accident took place when a motorcycle (Me 1 Ja 1069) heading towards West from East and a taxi (Me 4 Pa 4999) coming from opposite direction collided with each other. They died while undergoing treatment at Neuro Hospital, Biratnagar. nnnn
