PRESIDENT MOVING IN RIGHT DIRECTION SAY 17 PARTIES Kathmandu, 29 May: Seventeen parties, including NC and UML, Tuesday night asked President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav to find an “national outlet” to a constitutional crisis, NC Vice-president Ram Chandra Paudel said after a collective meting with the head of state. “Actions are moving in the right direction,” Paudel said supporting the President’s description of the Bhattarai government as a caretaker that should be replaced by a government of national consensus. The president urged peace and consensus. NC and UML succeeded in developing a consensus of 17 parties against the Maoists who are being supported by the Madesh Morcha in government. The Morcha decided Tuesday the Bhattarai government’s status can be changed to a national government. Nineteen parties were present at the meeting, including Maoists. . Meanwhile, senior leader Sher Bahadur Deuba of BC Maoists took the initiative Sunday because of inept establishment leadership. President Sushil Koirala denied the charge. Nnnn

  1. I was going through you post (recent & past) and realized that your post mostly catered to political situation of Nepal. Do not get me wrong but there are 6-7 different channels saying the same thing. When I click on a blog about Nepal I want to be able to see Nepal and read about it from the eyes of a poet, an artist, an optimist. Ciao
