RPP-NEPAL CONDEMNS GOVT. DECISION IN CA TENURE EXTENTION Kathmandu, 23 May: RPP-Nepal has strongly condemned the government decision to extend the term of the constituent assembly by going beyond the clear verdict of the supreme court, RSS reports. The party said on Tuesday the extension of CA term was the contempt of court and violation of the rule Moreover, the party urged all political parties and the President to obstruct the implementation of this decision. RPP-Nepal said it would launch protest programs throughout the country against the government decision. nnnn FOUR TAEKWONDO PLAYERS TO PARTICIPATE IN UNIVERSITY GAMES Kathmandu, 23 May: Four Nepalis will participate in the 12th World University Games (WUG) in Seoul 25 to 20 May. Ayasha Sakya, gold medalist in the 11th South Asian Games (SAG), Yan Kumari Chaulagain, Pushpa Thapa and Anil Maharjan will take part in the competition. nnnn YOUNGEST FEMALE TO CLIMB EVEREST Kathmandu, 23 May: Nima Chamji Sherpa, 16. waiting for her SLC results, has become the youngest female to climb the 8848 meters high Mount Everest through the normal route by stepping atop the peak Saturday at 11 in the morning, she told Nagarik Tuesday over telephone from base camp after safely descending the peak. “I am the youngest female to climb Sagarmatha,” she told Nagarik over telephone. The claim has to be verified by the tourism ministry though she is the youngest Nepali female to step atop the peak. nnnn
