TASK FORCE OF PRACHAND SUB-COMMITTEE BEGINS WORK TO DRAFT AGREEMENT BASED ON BREAKTHROUGH AGREEMENT
Kathmandu, 16 May: A seven member task force formed by a Prachanda sub-committee is meeting Wednesday to put down in writing details of a breakthrough agreement between parties on form of governance and federal structure to facilitate the ro,mulgation of a delayed constitution by 27 May.
Radhe Shyam Adhikari and Ramesh Lekhal from NC, Barshaman Pun and Khim Lal Debkota from UCPN (Maoist), Bhim Rawal and Agni Kharel from UML and Kalpana Rana from a small party are members of the body.
The task force will present its report to the Prachanda sub-committee on dispute resolution to be forwarded to the main constitution drafting committee headed by Nilambar Acharya which will in turn report to the constituent assembly (CA) called into session at three in the afternoon.
The CA which was without work will begin work to start voting of articles in a basic law for inclusion in a constitution.

ASIAN CLARING UNION MEET BEGINS IN POKHARA
Kathmandu, 16 May: A meeting of the technical committee of Asian Clearing Union began in Pokhara Tuesday.
Governors and central bank officials from Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Iran,
Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka are participating.
Afghanistan is participating as observer to discuss inter-country payment for trade transactions.
The 41st meeting of he board of directors of the Union begins Wednesday.
along with meeting of SAARC governors.
