UN SECRETARY-GENERAL CONCERNED CONSTITUTION MAY NOT BE PROMULGATED Kathmandu, 25 May: UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon Thursday expressed concern over prospect of xpressed his concern over the prospect of the Constituent Assembly (CA) term ending without promulgation of a constitution,. The UN chief said in a statement issued from New York on his behalf. “The Secretary-General is concerned about the prospect of the term of the Constituent Assembly expiring without the adoption of a constitution that meets the expectations and aspirations of the people of Nepal,” a statement issued by a spokesperson said.. Ban Ki-moon urged calm and restraint as protests ahead promulgation take threaten to take a communal and regional turn. Directly interfering in Nepal’ internal affairs, the UN chief in his last statement urged a federal structure which is a concern of Nepal and Nepali people and not the UN’s. nnnn
