Kathmandu, 17 May: Government agreed to put agitating Cheetris, Brahmins, Dasnamis and other groups in Khas, Arya and remove the ‘others’ official grouping on thelargest communities in the countryafter2008 in a major government concession.
Government agreed to put groups in list of indigenous people and names of provinces will be determined by state assemblies.

SIRAHA FIRE VICTIMS REFUSE TO ACCEPT GOVT. RELIEF
Kathmandu, 17 May: Fire victims Thursday collectively refused to accept
Rs. 31,000 government relief in Auraha VDC in Siraha announced by Prime Minister Baburam Bhattaiai Wednesday during a personal inspection.
The victims alleged shortcomings in collection in data collection.
Official estimate says 850 families were affected by this week’s devastating fire but uuofficial figures are higher.
Estimated say 2,000 houses were destroyed causing Rs.1.5 billion loss.
