UPDATE WITH LATEST POLITICAL DEVELOPMENTS :Kathmandu, 27 May: Police fired three rounds in the air as Brahmin, Cheetri, Dasnami and other groups opposing ethnic provinces broke prohibitory orders around the International Convention Center—the venue of constituent assembly (CA) parliament—Sunday evening. The CA scheduled to meet at 11 in the morning hasn’t been called into session until 7.30 in the evening. New uncertainty cropped up amid prediction by UML leader KP Sharma Oli and rebel Maoist leader Deb Gurung a constitution won’t be promulgated in the next four fours demanding fresh elections. Dissident leaders of UCPN-Maoist—Vice Chairman Mohan Baidya and General Secretary Ram Bahadur Thapa asked people to come out on the streets if a pro-people constitution isn’t promulgated. following a meeting at Buddhanagar Sunday afternoon.
