:Kathmandu, 27 May: Police fired three rounds in the air as Brahmin, Cheetri, Dasnami and other groups opposing ethnic provinces broke prohibitory orders around the International Convention Center—the venue of constituent assembly (CA) parliament—Sunday evening.
The CA scheduled to meet at 11 in the morning hasn’t been called into session until 7.30 in the evening.

Dissident leaders of UCPN-Maoist—Vice Chairman Mohan Baidya and General Secretary Ram Bahadur Thapa asked people to come out on the streets if a pro-people constitution isn’t promulgated. following a meeting at Buddhanagar Sunday afternoon.
In a joint statement they charged ‘domestic and foreign reactionary forces’
were plotting to dissolve the CA.
They called for a people’s constitution.
