UPDATE WITH PRACHANDA COMMENT Kathmandu, 27 May: Maoist Chairman Prachanda said Sunday night the CA couldn’t be saved and an emergency standing committee meeting is discussing alternatives. “Our effort was to write a constitution. We couldn’t save the CA. Possibility has ended,” he said. He said a standing committee will now discuss alternatives and mentioned a transitional parliament to handle CA affairs while mentioning emergency as another alternative. MORE
