BAIDHAYA FACTION REJECTS SEVEN-POINT UNITY PROPOSAL OF CHAIRMAN PRACHANDA UPDATE Kathmandu, 13 June;:Mohan Baidhaya faction in the UCPN (Maoist) Wednesday rejected a seven-point proposal of Chairman Prachanda for unity. The proposal was handed over the Baidhaya at a meeting at the latter’s residence. The rebel faction decided to go ahead with the party national faction that begins in the capital Friday. Top leaders of the rebel faction continued discussions on the unity proposal late Wednesday night MORE NC DECIDES TO BOYCOTT MINISTERS UPDATE Kathmandu, 13 June NC central committee Wednesday decided to boycott Ministers in government. The party decided to awareness campaign against the government to the village level. The party is leading an anti-government campaign against the Maoist-led government. Nnnn FNCCI CALLS FOR FULL BUDGET Kathmandu, 13 July: FNCCI Wednesday called for a full budget announced with political consensus and understanding of parties. The call came as opposition said a caretaker government can’t announce an annual budget 2069/70. The umbrella organization of business and industry said an environment for investment had deteriorated. FNCCI said Maoists had unleashed terror in Hetaura with extortions by former fighters. The body asked for compensation for losses during the one-month strike in the mid-and far-West before failed attempt to promulgate a constitution by 27 May and extend three-month time to settle dues to government. nnnn
