Kathmandu, 29 June: Chairman of the newly-formed CPN-Maoist, Mohan Baidhya, on Friday urged the party cadres to take the breakaway from the Unified CPN-Maoist as a natural process, RSS reports..
Laying the foundation stone of Ichchhuk Cultural Foundation building here today, he said some former UCPN-Maoist leaders separated and formed the new party after the UCPN-Maoist was not ready to transform as per the Marxist theory. He said unity, struggle, transformation and breakaway in a communist party was natural process.
Chairman Baidya said that formation of the new party was the beginning of a new chapter as the leaders of the new party would take a leading role to fulfill the unfulfilled dreams of the great fighters like Krishna Sen Ichchhuk.
He said formation of the revolutionary party was a must to pave a way to the current political transition.
On the occasion, Baidya said that the Ichchhuk Cultural Foundation should be developed as a broad research center.
He appreciated the life of Sen and said one and all should learn from the struggles of Ichchhuk and added he was a true revolutionary figure.
Vice-chairman of the Foundation Dr Rishiraj Baral said they had to struggle enough to establish the Foundation.
Journalist and critic Ichchhuk was arrested and murdered by the state force a decade ago.

WOMAN KILLED IN FAMILY DISPUTE
Kathmandu, 29 June: A woman was killed at Panchganchhi VDC-7 in Jhapa district in a family dispute over the issue of sharing of property, RSS reports from Damak.
Hem Kumari Shrestha who was critically injured after her brother-in-law Raj Kumar Shrestha thrashed her on Thursday died while undergoing treatment in Biratnagar on Friday morning, according to District Police Office, Jhapa. Police arrested Raj Kumar after his involvement in the murder case.
