EVEN AS CHAIRMAN OF LDC GROUP, PM FAILS TO DRAW ATTENTION
Kathmandu, 23 June; Half the seats were empty in a hall where Prime
Minister Baburam Bhattarai was addressing a meeting of least developed
countries (LDCs) Thursday, Om Astha Rai writes in Nagarik from Rio de
Janeiro.
The premier was also addressing the session as chairman of the group of 44
states.
Nepal had given special importance to the meeting.
The meeting at Room No..1 was almost empty around the midway session.
There as no enthusiasm or patience in the room.
The premier chaired the meeting for three hours.
